STATUTE OF THE WORLD SOGO KARATE FEDERATION (WSKF)
PREAMBLE
The World Sogo Karate Federation (WSKF) is established as an international, non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion, preservation, development, and advancement of Sogo Karate throughout the world. The Federation shall unite national organizations, instructors, athletes, and officials under the principles of respect, integrity, discipline, humility, equality, friendship, and excellence.
The Federation shall promote traditional values while encouraging technical innovation, international cooperation, education, and fair competition.

CHAPTER I – GENERAL PROVISIONS
Article 1 – Name
The official name of the organization shall be the World Sogo Karate Federation (WSKF).
Article 2 – Legal Status
- WSKF is an international, independent, non-profit, non-political, and non-discriminatory organization.
- The Federation shall operate in accordance with the laws of the country in which it is registered and these Statutes.
Article 3 – Headquarters
- The headquarters shall be determined by the General Assembly.
- Regional offices may be established by decision of the Executive Board.
Article 4 – Official Language
- English shall be the official language of the Federation.
- Official translations may be approved by the Executive Board.
CHAPTER II – OBJECTIVES
Article 5
The objectives of WSKF are to:
- Promote Sogo Karate worldwide.
- Preserve karate traditions and values.
- Encourage technical excellence and innovation.
- Develop standardized education and grading systems.
- Organize international championships and seminars.
- Certify instructors, referees, coaches, and examiners.
- Promote friendship and cultural exchange.
- Support youth development and women’s participation.
- Cooperate with national and international sports organizations.
- Promote ethical conduct and fair play.
CHAPTER III – MEMBERSHIP
Article 6 – Categories
Membership shall consist of:
- Full Members
- Associate Members
- Provisional Members
- Honorary Members
Only one Full Member may represent each country unless otherwise approved by the General Assembly.
Article 7 – Admission
Applicants shall submit:
- Legal registration documents.
- Constitution or statutes.
- List of affiliated clubs.
- Technical leadership details.
- Written acceptance of WSKF Statutes.
Membership becomes effective following Executive Board approval and General Assembly ratification.
Article 8 – Rights
Full Members may:
- Vote in the General Assembly.
- Nominate candidates.
- Participate in WSKF events.
- Host sanctioned championships.
- Receive technical support.
Article 9 – Obligations
Members shall:
- Comply with these Statutes.
- Pay annual membership fees.
- Observe WSKF technical regulations.
- Promote ethical conduct.
- Submit annual activity reports.
CHAPTER IV – GOVERNING BODIES
Article 10
The governing bodies of WSKF are:
- General Assembly
- Executive Board
- President
- Standing Committees
- Ethics and Disciplinary Commission
- Audit Committee
CHAPTER V – GENERAL ASSEMBLY
Article 11
The General Assembly is the supreme authority of WSKF.
Its powers include:
- Electing officers.
- Adopting and amending the Statutes.
- Approving budgets and financial reports.
- Determining membership fees.
- Admitting and expelling members.
- Approving strategic plans.
Ordinary meetings shall be held every two years.
Extraordinary meetings may be convened by the President, the Executive Board, or one-third of the Full Members.
CHAPTER VI – EXECUTIVE BOARD
Article 12
The Executive Board shall consist of:
- President
- First Vice President
- Vice Presidents
- Secretary General
- Treasurer
- Technical Director
- Referee Director
- Coaching and Education Director
- Development Director
- Athletes’ Representative
The term of office shall be four years.
CHAPTER VII – DUTIES OF OFFICERS
Article 13 – President
The President shall:
- Represent WSKF internationally.
- Chair meetings.
- Ensure implementation of decisions.
- Sign official documents and agreements.
Article 14 – Secretary General
The Secretary General shall:
- Manage administration.
- Keep official records.
- Organize meetings.
- Coordinate communications.
Article 15 – Treasurer
The Treasurer shall:
- Manage Federation finances.
- Prepare annual budgets.
- Present financial reports.
- Ensure transparent accounting.
CHAPTER VIII – COMMITTEES
Article 16
The Federation shall establish:
- Technical Committee
- Referee Committee
- Coaching and Education Committee
- Medical Committee
- Women’s Committee
- Athletes’ Commission
- Ethics Committee
- Audit Committee
Additional committees may be created as required.
CHAPTER IX – TECHNICAL REGULATIONS
Article 17
The Technical Committee shall establish:
- Technical curriculum
- Dan grading regulations
- Instructor certification
- Referee licensing
- Competition rules
- Coaching standards
CHAPTER X – COMPETITIONS
Article 18
WSKF shall sanction:
- World Championships
- Continental Championships
- International Cups
- Youth Championships
- Referee Courses
- Instructor Courses
- Technical Seminars
Official WSKF titles shall only be awarded at sanctioned events.
CHAPTER XI – FINANCE
Article 19
Income may include:
- Membership fees
- Event registration fees
- Sponsorship
- Donations
- Grants
- Licensing
- Merchandise
- Educational programs
The accounts shall be reviewed annually, and financial reports shall be presented to the General Assembly.
CHAPTER XII – ETHICS AND DISCIPLINE
Article 20
All members shall observe:
- Respect
- Integrity
- Fair play
- Equality
- Transparency
- Non-discrimination
- Safeguarding of children and vulnerable persons
Violations may result in:
- Warning
- Suspension
- Removal from office
- Expulsion
Disciplinary proceedings shall guarantee due process and the right to be heard.
CHAPTER XIII – ANTI-DOPING
Article 21
WSKF shall promote clean sport.
All athletes, coaches, and officials shall comply with the Federation’s Anti-Doping Regulations and any applicable international standards adopted by WSKF.
CHAPTER XIV – AMENDMENTS
Article 22
These Statutes may be amended by a two-thirds majority of votes cast at the General Assembly.
Written proposals shall be submitted at least sixty (60) days before the meeting.
CHAPTER XV – DISSOLUTION
Article 23
The Federation may be dissolved only by a three-fourths majority of the General Assembly.
Any remaining assets shall be transferred to another non-profit organization with similar objectives.
CHAPTER XVI – FINAL PROVISIONS
Article 24
These Statutes shall enter into force immediately upon adoption by the Founding General Assembly of the World Sogo Karate Federation.
