PREAMBLE
Recognizing the value of martial arts as disciplines of physical development, self-discipline, education, cultural exchange, personal responsibility, and peaceful human development;
Recognizing the importance of establishing an international organization dedicated to the advancement, preservation, teaching, practice, and responsible development of modern martial arts;
We hereby establish the World Modern Martial Art Federation (WMMAF) as an international martial arts federation governed by this Statute.
The Federation shall promote martial arts education and practice while respecting human dignity, cultural diversity, sporting integrity, safety, discipline, and peaceful cooperation among practitioners throughout the world.
The Federation was founded and established by Philosopher Super Grand Master Mohammadullah Omar Iman Dost, whose founding role shall be recorded in the institutional history and founding documents of the Federation.
CHAPTER I
NAME, STATUS AND PRINCIPLES
Article 1 — Name
- The organization shall be known as the World Modern Martial Art Federation, abbreviated WMMAF.
- The official name may be translated into other languages for international use, provided that the identity and meaning of the Federation remain substantially unchanged.
Article 2 — Nature of the Federation
- WMMAF shall be an international, non-governmental martial arts federation.
- The Federation shall operate as a non-profit organization where required by applicable national law.
- WMMAF may establish national federations, continental organizations, affiliated clubs, schools, academies, commissions, councils, and other authorized bodies.
