GENERAL PROVISIONS
ARTICLE 1 NAME AND HEADQUARTERS
WMMAO are the global body for Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), the world’s fastest growing sport with an estimated 500 million followers worldwide.
WMMAO has over 500 members from more than 135 countries on all continents. Our member structure is unique and inclusive, comprising both governmental and non-governmental organizations, including:
national and international sports federations,
national Olympic committees,
ministries of health, culture, education, sport, etc.,
international, national, regional and local Sport for All organizations,
cities and municipalities,
educational institutions, and
individuals.

- The name of the organization is World Mixed Martial Arts Organization (WMMAO).
- WMMAO is a non-profit Sports organization, composed of autonomous and independent national Organizations and other national Federations.
The Sports Organization is constituted according to Swedish law; WMMAO It was established by the GM Mohammadullah Omar Iman Dost in 27th of April 2007. It undertakes to respect the provisions of the Olympic Charter and the World Anti-Doping Code and to abide by the decisions of the IOC. Based on IOC guidelines, the WMMAO undertakes, in accordance with its mission and role at Global level, to participate in actions to promote nation’s talent and to promote women in sport. It also undertakes to support and encourage the promotion to sports ethics, to fight against doping and to demonstrate a responsible concern for environmental issues.
- The headquarters shall be located in the country of the President unless otherwise decided by the Board of Directors.
