INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC, PHILOSOPHICAL & ACADEMIC SEMINAR

FROM SURVIVAL COMBAT TO THE PHILOSOPHY OF SPORT

Founder & Principal Scientific-Philosophical Visionary

Philosopher Super Grand Master King Mohammadullah Omar Iman Dost

OUR VISION

The International Scientific, Philosophical & Academic Seminar “From Survival Combat to the Philosophy of Sport” is an interdisciplinary educational initiative devoted to studying the historical and philosophical evolution of human physical activity—from survival, hunting, protection, and combat to martial arts, combat sports, competitive sports, Olympic and non-Olympic sports, physical education, and modern sport sciences.

The Seminar seeks to examine sport not simply as physical performance, technique, or competition, but as a comprehensive field connecting:

Human History • Philosophy • Science • Education • Ethics • Physical Development • Culture • Competition • Human Development

OUR CENTRAL QUESTION

How did human combat for survival evolve into martial arts, sport, physical education, and modern sport science?

The Seminar explores a conceptual historical progression:

SURVIVAL → HUNTING & DEFENSE → COMBAT → ORGANIZED COMBAT → MARTIAL ARTS → COMBAT SPORTS → COMPETITIVE SPORTS → OLYMPIC & NON-OLYMPIC SPORTS → PHYSICAL EDUCATION → SPORT SCIENCES → PHILOSOPHY OF SPORT

This framework constitutes the central intellectual foundation of the Seminar.

FOUNDING PHILOSOPHY

The founding philosophy of Philosopher Super Grand Master King Mohammadullah Omar Iman Dost emphasizes that sport should not be reduced to technique and tactics alone.

Sport education should also develop:

The Body.
The Mind.
Knowledge.
Discipline.
Ethics.
Character.
Scientific Understanding.
Human Potential.

Accordingly, the Seminar promotes the principle:

“A Healthy Body, a Sound Mind, Ethical Character, Scientific Knowledge, and Human Development through Sport.”

AN INTERDISCIPLINARY ACADEMIC MODEL

The Seminar brings together areas of knowledge that are traditionally studied separately, including:

  • History of Human Physical Activity
  • Anthropology
  • Philosophy
  • Philosophy of Sport
  • Martial Arts Studies
  • Combat Sports
  • Competitive Sports
  • Physical Education
  • Sport Sciences
  • Sport Pedagogy
  • Sport Ethics
  • Sport Psychology
  • Sport Sociology
  • Training Methodology
  • Technique and Tactics
  • Practical and Theoretical Education

Its objective is to create an integrated framework in which science and philosophy, theory and practice, body and mind, and education and human development can be studied together.

ACADEMIC & EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM

A distinctive feature of the Seminar is that participation is not limited to listening to lectures.

The educational process incorporates:

1. Theoretical Education

Scientific, historical, philosophical, and specialized presentations.

2. Practical Education

Practical demonstrations, training concepts, physical education, and relevant martial-arts or sport applications.

3. Academic Examination

At the conclusion of the Seminar, participants may undertake a written examination consisting, among other methods, of multiple-choice questions based on the educational material presented.

4. Evaluation & Educational Outcome

Participants’ knowledge and understanding are assessed according to predetermined criteria.

Thus, the educational model follows:

TEACHING → LEARNING → EXAMINATION → EVALUATION → EDUCATIONAL OUTCOME

This approach is intended to create a structured educational environment rather than simply a ceremonial or lecture-based event.

INTERNATIONAL EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS

The Seminar framework may be presented through different durations and levels, including:

1-Day • 2-Day • 3-Day • 1-Week

and extended programs:

1-Month • 2-Month • 3-Month • 6-Month • 1-Year • 2-Year • 3-Year • 4-Year

Each program may be developed with defined curricula, learning objectives, instructional hours, practical components, examination procedures, assessment standards, and completion requirements.

CORE ACADEMIC THEMES

The Seminar examines questions including:

Why did early humans fight?

How were survival, hunting, protection, and physical ability connected?

How did combat become organized and teachable?

How did organized combat develop into martial arts?

How did martial arts contribute to the development of combat sports?

How did combat and physical competition develop into organized sport?

How did sport develop into systems of physical education and sport science?

What is the relationship between the body, mind, ethics, knowledge, discipline, and sport?

These questions establish the Seminar as a multidisciplinary study of human physical culture and its historical development.

INTERNATIONAL DIMENSION

According to the history and documentation provided by the Founder, the Seminar has been presented as an international initiative involving representation from five countries and five continents.

Its international vision is to establish a platform connecting:

Professors • Researchers • Philosophers • Masters • Coaches • Athletes • Students • Universities • Schools • Academies • Physical Education Institutions • Sports Organizations

The long-term vision is to develop international educational, research, and professional cooperation in sport, martial arts, physical education, sport sciences, and sport philosophy.

FOUNDING DECLARATION

Declaration of Scientific and Philosophical Foundation

We recognize sport as one of humanity’s important expressions of physical, intellectual, cultural, educational, and social development.

The history of physical activity begins long before modern sporting institutions. Human beings used physical abilities for survival, hunting, protection, movement, and confrontation with environmental challenges.

Across history, these physical activities became increasingly organized and culturally transmitted. Combat developed into systems of training; systems of combat developed into martial arts; and organized physical activities subsequently contributed to the emergence of competitive sports and broader systems of physical education.

Modern sport has consequently become a multidisciplinary field encompassing physical performance, education, science, philosophy, ethics, culture, competition, and human development.

The International Scientific, Philosophical & Academic Seminar “From Survival Combat to the Philosophy of Sport” was established around this comprehensive perspective.

Under the founding vision of Philosopher Super Grand Master King Mohammadullah Omar Iman Dost, the Seminar seeks to provide an educational framework through which the historical, scientific, philosophical, theoretical, and practical dimensions of sport and martial arts can be studied together.

The Seminar further seeks to establish an educational culture in which participants are not only introduced to knowledge but are also given an opportunity to demonstrate their understanding through structured academic assessment.

Its fundamental philosophy is:

“Sport is not only the training of the body; it is also the education of the human being.”

OUR LONG-TERM OBJECTIVE

The long-term objective is to develop this initiative into a structured international platform for:

Education • Research • Academic Seminars • Professional Development • Sport Philosophy • Martial Arts Studies • Physical Education • Sport Sciences

Subject to appropriate institutional accreditation and recognition, the framework may further develop into an international research center, academic institute, educational network, professional academy, or specialized program.

OUR FOUNDING PRINCIPLE

FROM SURVIVAL TO COMBAT.

FROM COMBAT TO MARTIAL ARTS.

FROM MARTIAL ARTS TO SPORT.

FROM SPORT TO PHYSICAL EDUCATION.

FROM PHYSICAL EDUCATION TO SPORT SCIENCE.

FROM SPORT SCIENCE TO THE PHILOSOPHY OF HUMAN DEVELOPMENT.
