THE WORLD SPORT KUNG FU FEDERATION (WSKF)

PREAMBLE

The World Sport Kung Fu Federation (WSKF) is established as an independent international sports organization dedicated to promoting, developing, educating, and governing Sport Kung Fu throughout the world. The Federation is committed to encouraging excellence in martial arts, mutual respect, friendship, discipline, cultural exchange, and fair competition among all participants.


ARTICLE 1 – NAME

The official name of the organization shall be the World Sport Kung Fu Federation (WSKF).


ARTICLE 2 – LEGAL STATUS

The World Sport Kung Fu Federation (WSKF) is an independent, non-governmental, non-profit international sports federation operating under these Statutes, its Regulations, and applicable laws where it is legally registered.


ARTICLE 3 – OBJECTIVES

The objectives of WSKF are to:

  1. Promote and develop Sport Kung Fu worldwide.
  2. Encourage participation regardless of nationality, race, gender, religion, or background.
  3. Organize World, Continental, Regional, National, and International Championships.
  4. Establish technical, coaching, refereeing, and competition standards.
  5. Develop educational and certification programs for instructors, referees, and officials.
  6. Support youth, amateur, and elite athlete development.
  7. Promote friendship, peace, respect, and international cooperation through martial arts.

ARTICLE 4 – PRINCIPLES

The Federation shall be guided by the principles of:

  • Sportsmanship

ARTICLE 5 – FOUNDER

The Federation recognizes Philosopher Super Grandmaster King Mohammdullah Omar Iman Dost as the Founder and Founding President of the World Sport Kung Fu Federation (WSKF). This recognition is honorary and forms part of the official history and traditions of the Federation.


ARTICLE 6 – MEMBERSHIP

Membership may include:

  • National Kung Fu Federations
  • Continental Federations
  • Regional Organizations
  • Clubs and Academies
  • Individual Members
  • Honorary Members
  • Associate Members

All members shall comply with these Statutes, the Code of Ethics, and the regulations adopted by WSKF.


ARTICLE 7 – GOVERNING BODIES

The governing bodies of the Federation shall be:

  • General Assembly
  • President
  • Executive Board
  • Secretary General
  • Technical Committee
  • Referee Commission
  • Athletes Commission
  • Women’s Commission
  • Medical and Safety Commission
  • Ethics and Disciplinary Commission
  • Finance and Audit Committee

Additional committees may be established by the Executive Board as required.


ARTICLE 8 – THE PRESIDENT

The President shall:

  • Represent the Federation internationally.
  • Preside over meetings of the General Assembly and Executive Board.
  • Ensure implementation of the Federation’s policies.
  • Promote the growth and development of Sport Kung Fu worldwide.
  • Protect the interests, values, and reputation of WSKF.

ARTICLE 9 – GENERAL ASSEMBLY

The General Assembly is the supreme governing authority of WSKF.

Its responsibilities include:

  • Electing officers.
  • Approving amendments to the Statutes.
  • Admitting or suspending members.
  • Approving financial reports and budgets.
  • Establishing long-term strategic policies.

ARTICLE 10 – EXECUTIVE BOARD

The Executive Board shall:

  • Administer the daily affairs of the Federation.
  • Implement decisions of the General Assembly.
  • Organize official championships and educational programs.
  • Oversee committees and commissions.
  • Manage the Federation’s finances responsibly.

ARTICLE 11 – OFFICIAL ACTIVITIES

WSKF may organize and sanction:

  • World Championships
  • Continental Championships
  • International Open Championships
  • National Championships
  • Youth Championships
  • Traditional Kung Fu Events
  • Sanda and Taolu Competitions
  • Referee Courses
  • Coaching Courses
  • Instructor Certification Programs
  • Seminars and Educational Conferences

ARTICLE 12 – ATHLETES

Every athlete has the right to:

  • Equal opportunity.
  • Fair competition.
  • Respect and dignity.
  • Safe participation.
  • Protection from discrimination and harassment.

Athletes shall observe all competition rules and uphold the principles of good sportsmanship.


ARTICLE 13 – ETHICS

All members shall:

  • Respect opponents, officials, and spectators.
  • Reject corruption and match manipulation.
  • Oppose doping.
  • Promote honesty, integrity, and respect.
  • Protect children and vulnerable persons.
  • Preserve the values and traditions of martial arts.

ARTICLE 14 – FINANCE

Federation income may include:

  • Membership fees
  • Championship registration fees
  • Sponsorships
  • Donations
  • Grants
  • Licensing
  • Educational programs
  • Merchandise

Financial records shall be maintained accurately and transparently and audited where required by law.


ARTICLE 15 – OFFICIAL LANGUAGE

The official language of WSKF shall be English.

Additional official languages may be adopted by the General Assembly.


ARTICLE 16 – DISCIPLINARY PROCEDURES

The Ethics and Disciplinary Commission shall investigate alleged violations of these Statutes, the Code of Ethics, or competition regulations.

Possible sanctions include:

  • Warning
  • Reprimand
  • Fine
  • Suspension
  • Expulsion
  • Other appropriate disciplinary measures

Any member subject to disciplinary proceedings shall have the right to be heard before a final decision is made.


ARTICLE 17 – AMENDMENTS

These Statutes may be amended by a two-thirds majority vote of the General Assembly.


ARTICLE 18 – DISSOLUTION

The Federation may be dissolved only by a three-quarters majority vote of the General Assembly, in accordance with applicable law.


ARTICLE 19 – ENTRY INTO FORCE

These Statutes shall enter into force immediately upon their adoption by the Founding General Assembly of the World Sport Kung Fu Federation (WSKF).
