CONSTITUTION OF THE ASIA KICKBOXING ORGANIZATION
AKO – Asia Kickboxing Organization
Article 1 – Name
The official name of the organization shall be:
ASIA KICKBOXING ORGANIZATION (AKO)
Article 2 – Status
The Asia Kickboxing Organization (AKO) shall operate as an independent continental sporting organization dedicated to the development, promotion, regulation and administration of Kickboxing throughout Asia.
Where formally granted through an official agreement or recognition instrument, AKO may be recognized and affiliated within the international framework of the:
World Kickboxing Union (WKU)
and the
World Kickboxing Organization (WKO).
Such recognition shall not affect the independent administrative and sporting identity of AKO.
Article 3 – Objectives
The principal objectives of AKO are:
- To develop Kickboxing throughout the Asian continent.
- To promote fair play, discipline, respect and sporting integrity.
- To support Asian athletes, coaches, referees and judges.
- To organize Asian championships and international sporting events.
- To establish and implement technical and competition standards.
- To cooperate with national Kickboxing organizations throughout Asia.
- To promote youth, amateur and professional Kickboxing.
- To represent the interests of Asian Kickboxing within the international sporting community.
Article 4 – Independence
AKO shall maintain its own:
- administration;
- membership structure;
- officers;
- committees;
- financial affairs;
- sporting programs;
- championships;
- and internal regulations.
AKO may cooperate with the WKU, WKO and other legitimate international and national sporting organizations while maintaining its institutional independence.
Article 5 – Founder
The Founder of the Asia Kickboxing Organization is:
Fighter Super Grand Master King Mohammadullah Omari Man Dost
The Founder shall be recognized as the founding authority of AKO and may hold such honorary or constitutional position as determined by the organization’s governing documents.
Article 6 – President
The President of the Asia Kickboxing Organization shall be:
Dr. Mahdi Zolghadr
The President shall represent AKO in continental and international sporting matters and shall supervise the implementation of its Constitution, regulations and decisions.
Article 7 – Membership
Membership may be granted to eligible:
- National Kickboxing Organizations;
- Federations;
- Unions;
- Associations;
- Clubs;
- Academies;
- Athletes;
- Coaches;
- Referees;
- Judges;
- and other recognized sporting representatives.
Article 8 – Governance
The principal organs of AKO may include:
- General Assembly;
- President;
- Executive Board;
- Secretary General;
- Technical Commission;
- Referees and Judges Commission;
- Medical and Safety Commission;
- and Disciplinary Commission.
Article 9 – Applicable Law
AKO shall operate in accordance with the applicable laws of the jurisdiction in which it is legally established and with generally accepted principles of international sport.
Article 10 – Final Provision
This Constitution constitutes the fundamental framework of the Asia Kickboxing Organization (AKO).
AKO shall strive to unite and develop Asian Kickboxing through professionalism, sporting excellence, athlete safety, fair competition, international cooperation and respect among nations.
