3. Continental Mission

The mission of AMMAC shall be:

To unite the Mixed Martial Arts community of Asia through science, discipline, education, ethical governance, athlete welfare, cultural cooperation, and excellence in sport.

AMMAC shall seek to establish a professional and transparent continental system that enables Asian athletes and national federations to participate in national, continental, intercontinental, and world-level competitions.

4. Five Asian Regions

For administrative purposes, AMMAC may organize Asia into five major regions:

East Asia

China, Japan, Korea, Mongolia, and associated territories and national federations.

Southeast Asia

Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, Cambodia, Laos, Brunei, Myanmar, and other participating nations.

South Asia

India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, Maldives, and participating nations.

Central Asia

Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, and participating nations.

West Asia

Gulf countries, the Levant, Anatolia, and other participating West Asian nations.

This regional concept is consistent with the way existing Asian MMA structures organize representation across East, Central, Southeast, West, and South Asia.

5. Membership

AMMAC membership shall be open to qualified national organizations that meet established requirements for:

  • Legal independence
  • National representation
  • Good governance
  • Technical competence
  • Athlete protection
  • Ethical conduct
  • Financial transparency
  • Compliance with AMMAC regulations

Existing Asian MMA membership models similarly require applicants to provide organizational constitutions, management information, and evidence that they operate independently and promote MMA nationally.

Recognized national MMA federation.

B. Associate Member
Developing organization working toward full recognition.

C. Institutional Member

Certification should be based on documented education, practical competence, examination, experience, ethics, and continuing professional development.

10. Recognition Within the International System

Under the proposed WMMAO/IMMAC framework, AMMAC would be designated:

“Recognized Continental Member for Asia”

This status would authorize AMMAC to:

  • Represent Asia within IMMAC
  • Coordinate Asian national members
  • Develop continental standards
  • Recommend Asian representatives
  • Organize continental competitions
  • Coordinate international athlete pathways
  • Participate in international technical meetings
  • Submit Asian recommendations to the World Council

Important Legal Wording

Until an actual international organization formally grants this status, official documents should use:

“Proposed Recognized Continental Member”

or

“Continental Member of IMMAC, subject to formal recognition and approval.”

This avoids making an unsupported claim of recognition.

11. Relationship With Existing International MMA Organizations

The international MMA landscape already includes established bodies. For example, FIMMA currently describes itself as an international governing body for amateur MMA and identifies the Asian Mixed Martial Arts Association (AMMA) as its Asian continental body.

Separately, IMMAF has historically operated with an Asian continental federation under its structure; in 2022, IMMAF formally granted the Asia MMA Federation rights as an organization affiliated with IMMAF and representative of the Asian region.

Therefore, if AMMAC/IMMAC is intended to be a new organization under WMMAO, its legal documents should clearly distinguish it from these existing organizations.

12. Founding Philosophy

AMMAC PRINCIPLE

“One Asia — Many Nations — One Martial Arts Community.”

The Council shall recognize the diversity of Asian martial arts traditions while establishing common standards for modern Mixed Martial Arts.

Four Foundations

SCIENCE
Evidence-based athletic development and safety.

DISCIPLINE
Professional standards for athletes and officials.

ETHICS
Respect, integrity, fairness, and responsibility.

UNITY
Cooperation among Asian nations and martial arts communities.

14. Founder & Presidential Authority

Within the proposed WMMAO constitution, the supreme founding authority may be stated as:

Founder & President
World Mixed Martial Arts Organization — WMMAO

The Founder & President shall serve as the founding authority of WMMAO and shall oversee the establishment of the continental structure, including the proposed Asian Mixed Martial Arts Council.

Any legal powers, permanent presidential rights, honorary titles, or succession provisions should be defined explicitly in the final WMMAO Constitution and must comply with the law of the jurisdiction in which WMMAO is registered.
