WORLD SPORTS MINISTRY (WSM)
PREAMBLE
In the name of Almighty God,
Recognizing the inherent dignity of every human being and affirming the universal values of sport, peace, justice, solidarity, health, sustainable development, and international cooperation, this Constitution hereby establishes the World Sports Ministry (WSM) as an independent, global, non-governmental, non-profit, and non-political international organization.
The World Sports Ministry is founded to serve as a worldwide institution dedicated to promoting sport, physical education, public health, ethical values in sport, human development, international friendship, and cooperation among nations for the benefit of present and future generations.
CHAPTER I
GENERAL PROVISIONS
Article 1 – Name
The official name of the Organization shall be World Sports Ministry, hereinafter referred to as WSM.
Article 2 – Legal Status
- WSM is an independent, international, non-governmental, non-profit, and non-political organization.
- WSM shall possess full legal personality and may acquire rights, incur obligations, own property, enter into contracts, and institute or defend legal proceedings in accordance with applicable international and national laws.
- WSM may establish regional offices, national chapters, representative offices, affiliated institutions, and specialized divisions worldwide.
Article 3 – Headquarters
- The Headquarters of WSM shall be located in the city designated by the World General Assembly.
- The Headquarters may be relocated upon approval by a two-thirds majority of the voting members of the General Assembly.
- Regional and national offices may be established wherever necessary to fulfill the objectives of the Organization.
Article 4 – Scope of Activities
The activities of WSM shall extend worldwide and shall be carried out without discrimination based on nationality, race, ethnicity, religion, gender, language, political opinion, disability, or social status.
Article 5 – Duration
The Organization shall be established for an unlimited duration unless dissolved in accordance with the provisions of this Constitution.
CHAPTER II
MISSION, VISION, AND OBJECTIVES
Article 6 – Mission
The mission of WSM is to promote sport as a universal instrument for peace, education, health, human dignity, sustainable development, and international cooperation.
Article 7 – Vision
WSM envisions a world in which every individual enjoys equal access to sport, physical activity, education, and opportunities for personal and social development regardless of background or circumstance.
Article 8 – Objectives
The principal objectives of WSM shall include:
- Promoting grassroots, amateur, and professional sports worldwide.
- Advancing physical, mental, and social well-being through sport.
- Supporting children, youth, women, older persons, and persons with disabilities in accessing sporting opportunities.
- Encouraging education, research, innovation, and scientific development in sports and physical education.
- Promoting ethics, integrity, transparency, and good governance in sport.
- Strengthening peace and intercultural dialogue through sporting activities.
- Assisting developing countries in improving sports infrastructure and capacity.
- Protecting the rights, welfare, education, and health of athletes.
- Cooperating with governments, international organizations, universities, sports federations, and civil society organizations.
- Promoting environmentally sustainable sporting practices.
Article 9 – Fundamental Principles
WSM shall be governed by the following principles:
- Human dignity
- Equality and non-discrimination
- Transparency and accountability
- Institutional independence
- Respect for cultural and religious diversity
- Athlete welfare and safety
- Sustainable development
- International peace and cooperation
