OFFICIAL CONSTITUTION World Mixed Combat Sports Federation (WMCSF) Article 1 – Name and Legal Identity The organization shall be known as the World Mixed Combat Sports Federation (WMCSF), an independent international governing body responsible for regulating and developing Mixed Combat Sports (MCS). Article 2 – Definition of Mixed Combat Sports (MCS) Mixed Combat Sports (MCS) is defined as: A structured modern combat discipline integrating striking, clinch control, takedown systems, and ground dominance under a unified philosophical and technical framework emphasizing functional realism, adaptive strategy, and controlled intensity. MCS is not merely a combination of techniques, but a unified combat methodology built on integration, transition mastery, and applied effectiveness. Article 3 – Philosophical Foundation of MCS
Principle of Functional Realism Techniques must be applicable under live resistance and measurable pressure.
Principle of Integrated Ranges Combat is understood as a continuum of distance: Long range (striking) Mid range (clinch & control) Ground range (positional dominance & submission) Mastery lies not in isolated skill, but in seamless transition.
Principle of Adaptive Combat Intelligence Victory is achieved through tactical evolution, not rigid stylistic loyalty.
Principle of Control Before Destruction Dominance precedes damage. Position precedes power.
Principle of Continuous Evolution MCS evolves with scientific research, biomechanical study, and competitive data. Article 4 – Nature of MCS Mixed Combat Sports is recognized as: A modern combat system A regulated competitive sport A developing martial discipline with structured methodology MCS seeks to bridge the historical concept of “Martial Art” with the modern reality of performance-based combat sports. Article 5 – Philosophical Distinction from MMA While acknowledging the historical development of Mixed Martial Arts, WMCSF establishes the following philosophical distinctions:
Ontological Focus MMA: Primarily a competitive platform where multiple martial arts meet. MCS: A unified combat doctrine with integrated principles beyond competition.
Identity Structure MMA: Historically style-versus-style evolving into a sport format. MCS: Designed from inception as a single integrated combat philosophy.
Educational Orientation MMA: Competition-centered development. MCS: System-centered education with long-term technical cultivation.
Concept of Art MMA retains the word “Martial Arts,” yet functions predominantly as a combat sport. MCS defines “Art” not as tradition, but as structured mastery of integrated combat principles. Article 6 – Objectives of WMCSF Establish global technical standards for MCS Develop certified coaching and referee systems Promote athlete safety and ethical conduct Foster youth, amateur, and professional development Advance scientific research in combat performance Article 7 – Governance Structure WMCSF shall consist of: General Assembly Executive Committee Technical & Education Committee Medical & Athlete Safety Commission Ethics & Compliance Board Article 8 – Ethical Framework All members shall adhere to: Respect and sportsmanship Non-discrimination Anti-doping compliance Athlete welfare protection Transparency and accountability Article 9 – Vision Statement To establish Mixed Combat Sports as the leading integrated combat discipline of the modern era, balancing realism, regulation, and philosophical structure.
