WORLD ESPORTS FEDERATION (WEF)

ARTICLE 1 – NAME, LEGAL STATUS, AND HEADQUARTERS 1.1 The name of the organization shall be World Esports Federation (WEF). 1.2 WEF is an independent, non-governmental, non-profit international Organization established under applicable international association law. 1.3 The headquarters of WEF shall be located in a city determined by the General Assembly. 1.4 WEF may establish regional offices and continental confederations as required. ARTICLE 2 – VISION, MISSION, AND OBJECTIVES 2.1 Vision To unify and advance esports worldwide as a recognized sport based on integrity, inclusivity, and excellence. 2.2 Mission To govern, regulate, and promote esports globally through structured competition, fair play, and international cooperation. 2.3 Objectives WEF shall: a) Act as the global governing body for esports. b) Promote esports as a sport recognized by national and international authorities. c) Establish standardized competition rules and technical regulations. d) Organize World Championships and sanctioned international tournaments. e) Ensure integrity, fair play, and anti-doping compliance. f) Promote gender equality and inclusion. g) Support youth development and grassroots esports. h) Foster cooperation among member federations. ARTICLE 3 – PRINCIPLES WEF shall operate under the following principles: a) Political neutrality b) Non-discrimination c) Fair play and integrity d) Transparency and good governance e) Respect for human rights f) Democratic decision-making ARTICLE 4 – MEMBERSHIP 4.1 Categories of Membership a) Full Members (National Esports Federations recognized in their country) b) Associate Members c) Continental Confederations d) Honorary Members 4.2 Only one Full Member per country shall be recognized. 4.3 Members must: a) Be legally registered in their country b) Adhere to WEF Statutes and regulations c) Maintain democratic governance d) Promote fair competition 4.4 Suspension or expulsion of members shall require a two-thirds (2/3) majority vote of the General Assembly. ARTICLE 5 – RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS OF MEMBERS 5.1 Rights a) Participate in WEF competitions b) Vote at the General Assembly (Full Members only) c) Propose motions d) Receive development support 5.2 Obligations a) Comply with WEF Statutes b) Pay membership fees c) Submit annual activity reports d) Enforce integrity and disciplinary measures ARTICLE 6 – GOVERNING BODIES The governing bodies of WEF shall be: a) General Assembly b) Executive Board c) President d) Judicial Bodies e) Standing Committees ARTICLE 7 – GENERAL ASSEMBLY 7.1 The General Assembly is the supreme authority of WEF. 7.2 It shall meet annually in Ordinary Session. 7.3 Responsibilities include: a) Electing the President and Executive Board b) Approving budgets and financial reports c) Amending the Statutes d) Admitting or expelling members e) Determining strategic direction 7.4 Each Full Member shall have one vote. 7.5 Decisions shall be made by simple majority unless otherwise specified. ARTICLE 8 – EXECUTIVE BOARD 8.1 The Executive Board shall manage WEF between General Assembly sessions. 8.2 Composition: a) President b) 3–7 Vice Presidents c) Secretary General d) Treasurer e) Additional elected members 8.3 Term of office: Four (4) years. 8.4 Responsibilities: a) Implement General Assembly decisions b) Approve regulations c) Supervise competitions d) Oversee finances ARTICLE 9 – PRESIDENT 9.1 The President represents WEF legally and officially. 9.2 Duties: a) Preside over meetings b) Ensure execution of policies c) Sign official documents d) Represent WEF internationally 9.3 The President shall be elected for four (4) years and may serve a maximum of three terms. ARTICLE 10 – JUDICIAL BODIES 10.1 Independent judicial bodies shall include: a) Ethics Committee b) Disciplinary Committee c) Appeals Committee 10.2 Judicial bodies shall operate independently from the Executive Board. 10.3 Decisions may be appealed according to WEF regulations. ARTICLE 11 – COMMISSIONS AND COMMITTEES WEF may establish permanent or ad hoc committees, including: a) Technical & Competition Committee b) Athletes’ Commission c) Women in Esports Committee d) Medical & Anti-Doping Committee e) Development Committee ARTICLE 12 – COMPETITIONS 12.1 WEF shall organize: a) World Esports Championships b) Continental Championships c) Youth Championships 12.2 All competitions must follow WEF regulations. 12.3 Participation shall be limited to members in good standing. ARTICLE 13 – INTEGRITY AND FAIR PLAY 13.1 WEF enforces strict anti-corruption and match-fixing policies. 13.2 WEF shall adopt anti-doping standards consistent with internationally recognized principles. 13.3 Betting manipulation and cheating are strictly prohibited. ARTICLE 14 – FINANCE 14.1 Revenue sources may include: a) Membership fees b) Sponsorships c) Broadcasting rights d) Event revenues e) Donations and grants 14.2 The financial year shall be determined by the Executive Board. 14.3 Annual financial statements shall be audited by an independent auditor. ARTICLE 15 – AMENDMENTS 15.1 Amendments to the Statutes require a two-thirds (2/3) majority vote of the General Assembly. 15.2 Proposed amendments must be submitted at least 60 days before the Assembly. ARTICLE 16 – DISSOLUTION 16.1 Dissolution requires a three-quarters (3/4) majority vote. 16.2 Assets shall be transferred to a non-profit organization with similar objectives.
